Dew4Him will be offering Jobs for Life class in our office.

Classes will be on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30, for eight weeks.  Dinner will be provided at each class.

There is no cost for the class, it is FREE

This race will be passing  just a block up from us. We will have a table set outside our office, we will be handing out bottled water and cooking hotdogs.

It helps bring awareness to Dew4Him and what we are doing for the Lord.

Maybe some of you would like to start a team and race for our office, wouldn’t that be wonderful to see our t-shirts in the race.  Again bringing awareness to our office

Scripture  Memory is how the inmates at NCCIW are taking action.

Approx…150 ladies are memorizing the word of God, trusting if they hide them in their hearts they will not sin against God.

These woman have been working hard all year to memorize these scriptures this is a day where they get to show how God is moving in their life.

There will be a party in the prison celebrating their accomplishments…7 verses all at one time. WOW!! God is so good.

Worship is our response to the overtures of love from the heart of the Father.

Matt Redman explains worship as: A response to a revelation – it’s only as we breathe in more of the wonders of God that we can breathe out a fuller response to Him.

Louie Giglio narrows it down by saying: Our response, both personal and corporate to God – for who he is and what He has done expressed in and by the things we say and the way we live.

We all worship something…..but WHY do we worship?

We worship because it’s who we are;

 CREATED

In Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren,  we learned the #1 reason we were created is to worship our Creator…..

 A.W. Tozer goes on to explain it this way,” Worship is man’s full reason for existence.  Worship is WHY we are born and WHY we are born again.”

COMMANDED

Not only were we created to worship, we are commanded to worship.  Throughout the Old Testament scripture tells us to worship the Lord and serve Him alone and not to make, worship or serve idols.

CALLED

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;

Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker  Psalms 95:6

 Those 2 words “let us” imply a choice, a voluntary offering.  Even though we are commanded to worship, it is our choice whether we obey it or not.

 How are you making a conscious choice to worship God?

What idols are hindering you from true worship?

How are you living out the fact that you were created to worship God?

Do you ever forget who you are? I know I do. I get overwhelmed by life and the dailiness of it all. I barely have time to remember my name or where I put my coffee cup. You know what I’ve realized this past week while studying Ephesians 1? It is good for me to remember not only who I am, but Whose I am. He must have known we would forget, because He wrote it in black and white for us to see. He said…

And the truth is, when you really want someone to remember something, you write it down. You send a note. You email. You say it with words because it matters and you don’t want them to forget.

I am witness to this power of writing it down. I’ve seen words wash over a girl of ten and soak in deep till she wore them like her Sunday best. This sweet girl of 10 (now 12) is my daughter. For her birthday that year I asked 30 women to write her a letter telling her what made her special. They wrote the most beautiful letters. They sent His Words. They told her she was amazing, sweet, a true God’s girl and how they loved her passion for worship. The night she opened her gift she came into my room and said, “Oh Mommy, I did not know I was so special.” I watched as day after day she read a different letter, and carefully placed it in her keepsake book. She added stickers and ribbon to the pages and read them again until she didn’t have to read them anymore, because they were written on her heart.

I’ll say it again….

These are not my words. They are His. He want us to know how special we are, too. Do you believe it? Do you live like it is true? Can you pick up these words each day, and put them on like you would your favorite pair of cute red shoes? I have an idea: Let’s put them on cards, scribble them on our hands, and write them on our grocery lists. Let’s keep writing and reading them until we don’t have to read them anymore because they are written on our hearts.

Well we have been at our office now for a few months and we finally got our new sign out front, oh what a blessing.  We have had many donations from furniture to Christmas Decorations.  We have had many volunteers come out and help decorate our new space for Christmas. If you are in the area stop and say hi, or come join us for prayer starting January 5th at 7pm running every Thursday through January.

Team Building Retreat 2012

Our theme was “SOAR”

What an amazing opportunity to be filled to the fullness of God.  Coming together as a team to Celebrate Jesus and Concentrate on the Word; expecting change. Everyone was instructed to SOAR and build relationships that reflect Jesus and help us understand others so we can reach out to them.

It is marvelous to be part of a group of women who love unconditionally, pray fervently, study earnestly, serve diligently, shares fears and tears, and laugh until we can’t anymore. It was truly  amazing  to see God show up and show off as he inflated, ignited and increased our hearts for Him and allowed us to capture vision and see possibility, become open to change,  abandon ourselves and rise above the challenges. Jesus we were privileged to honor you as SUPERIOR!  What an amazing team!!!!! Could not have it any better.
